My Dog Curly

My dog Curly
He barks at the wind only because he cannot see
I still see the pain in his eyes and the misery
He's a loving dog and I know he loves me
His tail no longer curls
His fur no longer golden
He lacks a bit of direction but he will never be a burden
He bumps into tables, doors, walls, and all
I love him so much I'd never let him fall
He's my dog Curly and only mine
I share him with my brother but I'm with him all the time
I love my dog, to this very day
Because he's my dog Curly and he takes my breath away
