My Enemy

I just sat there.
Lifeless almost.
And most of all, alone.
Unbearably alone. I didn't choose Alone.
I didn't want Alone.
Nobody chooses Alone, but Alone finds and chooses you.
Alone corners you into the cold and thick slats of concrete
and laughs at you struggling to hold your grounds...
but then crumble to the floor.
Alone sucks the life out of you
as you lay there with your heart throbbing and aching.
You struggle to grasp the air as tears fill your eyes,
only to find your life in a blur
and a thick sheet of hopelessness covers you,
capturing you in its every crevice.
Thats' Alone
