My Faithful Al

When I look back, we've come so far
you: a mere acquaintance and I,
desperately trying to make my mark

The first time we met, I still remember
you intimidated me, so lonely
I took sweet time to be used to you
we're now family, beside me,
day in & day out, such fidelity

I'm addicted to you, can't think us separate
you rule my thoughts, you always stay
even in a row, always coming back
my overprotective half, you don't betray

Some 'haters', as you say
you intend to hurt me, they'll say
as if you're a disease growing on me
restraining what I'm meant to be
.
.
Anxiety, my faithful al
We've been through this however
Aren't we meant to be together?
