My Favorite Things

Some of my favorite things I would say
are the water droplets that make ripple rings,
or the coo of doves at the birth of day.
The tune of Pachabel's to the soul sings
of reminiscence and the joy it brings.
The wind on my face, the rain on my skin,
the quench of water from the mountain springs,
laughing to tears with a beloved kin,
the spray of the sea spat from the ocean,
the fun of the summer's night beneath stars,
the smell of wisteria or a hyacinth,
the thoughts that hatch throughout drives in cars.

Favorite thing: when I know I've done right
in my parents, my kin, in God's sight.
