My Fire and Frost’s Ice

It is true that man will fall
In a blaze of fire
Or a freeze of ice,
Sold by passion, a burning desire
To be consumed in love's all-eternal fire,
But if man comes to worship vice
Then hope perishes at last
And hateful death arrives cool as ice,
A thrown die been fatefully cast,
The final of man's granted dice.
