My first love

He is there smiling in the corner when I dance with joy,
And offering his shoulder when my sorrows exceed enough.
He never treats me like some useless toy,
This poetry is about my first love.

He edits his busy to-do list,
To place listening to my lame stories above.
He makes sure no boy who breaks my heart exist,
This poetry is about my first love.

He cracks the worst joke of all times,
And never mentions he loves me and stuff.
He works hard so that my upcoming day shines,
This poetry is about my first love.

He sits all night with his eyes wide open,
If I remain awake because my day has been rough.
Losing him will make me forever broken,
This poetry is about my first love.

Baba, I promise to be the best little girl,
No matter how many poor jokes to me you shove.
To me you will always be the coolest father in the world,
This poetry is about you , my second to none, first love.
