My Friend

My friend is an odd one
He sleeps from ten to two
He runs for fun, chews minty gum
Wears inexpensive shoes

My friend, he's an oddball
He dyed his hair pure blonde
He swims like fish, licks clean his dish
He sings along to songs

My friend is a strange boy
He isn't like the rest
He sleeps in class though he'll always pass
His hair's always a mess

My friend is a weird one
To him no one compares
He'll weep and cry for dogs that die
Yet to see him cry is rare

My best friend is uncanny
But is he really strange?
He's just the way that he should stay
I'll never want him to change
