My Friend

Like my mama who watched my infact head,
There we those who were ever near,
Like Angels they showed me how much they cared,
Always seeking to find out how I fared
I know I wasn't the best I could have been all the time,
But they loved me without even giving a dime.

There were times I had lot of friends,
Friends with which I wished the friendship never ends,
But you know in every relationship there must surely be bends,
Unwanted, but they do surely show their heads.

Am sorry to all those I let down,
I can't even begin to write an apology statement now,
For if I start I won't end even till after the sun goes down,
But I must say I am really sorry,
For never slowing down and always in an hurry.

Even the Holy Book Says he hath friends must show himself friendly.
Seeking out ways to make his friends godly,
For it is one thing to have friends that prays,
And another thing to have those that preys.
