My Grandpa, My Sweetheart
My Grandpa, My Sweetheart,
A Star from Above. . .
You lit up all smiles,
And gave all of your love. . .
From beginning to end,
I will always hold dear. . .
The lessons you taught,
And moments you were near. . .
For every so often,
I might shed a tear. . .
At your
Peaceful passing. . .
Life is fleeting,
Cherish moments lasting. . .
Today, tomorrow,
And my life ahead. . .
I will always cherish
The words you once said. . .
'Always together until forever'
Is true. . .
You watch over us
From skies so blue. . .
Once attached at the hip,
You were my best friend too. . .
Protecting me from
Everything foreign and new. . .
You were such
A treasure. . .
How do I begin
To measure. . .
Our precious
Moments together . . .
The meaning
Your wonderful life gave. . .
The countless examples,
And life you paved. . .
Family, friends and coworkers
Meant so much. . .
The countless lives
You must have touched. . .
With your wisdom, advice
And selfless ways. . .
Teaching hard work and savings
Eventually pays. . .
I will take the best
In each and every day. . .
And handle every
Challenge in the way. . .
Life is dyamic,
Come what may. . .
As I look back
I smile and realize,
I was also your sweetheart,
Adored, A prize. . .
I love you Grandpa,
Though gone, you have my heart. . .
Always together,
Never too far apart. . .
A Star from Above. . .
You lit up all smiles,
And gave all of your love. . .
From beginning to end,
I will always hold dear. . .
The lessons you taught,
And moments you were near. . .
