My Great Dear Friend

I was born with a great dear friend
who knew me right away,
It was funny how she comprehended
all I had to say.
She listened to my problems
as well as all my dreams,
She listened to my pains and fears
she'd been there to it seems.
I never once felt judged by her
she'd seen what I'd been dealt,
She seem to just accept me
and the uncertainty I felt.
She didn't interrupt me
or need to have her say,
She was born and listened patiently
and didn't go away.
I wanted my reflection to see
how much this meant to me,
But as I went to touch her face
something startled me.
I put my hand in front of me
but what my eyes had seen,
Was not my own reflection
but my great dear friend, and twin,Janeen.
