My Hero…My Savior!

Pa, a fighter for the Vietnam War.
Saw his best friend get severely injured.
But standing by them he did what was right.
Armed in uniform to protect the others.
His scars show strength he had in battle.
He was strong then but even stronger now.
Living everyday with awful flashbacks.
He wakes up in the night in solider mode.
The Vietnam tattoo haunts him daily.
Now everyday he lives like it’s his last.
Drinking away the painful memories.
As he waits for day after day to pass.
He loves his family and wants what’s best.
It’s time for the Vietnam fighter to rest

This Poems Story

About my grandpa who was a Vietnam fighter and is still fighting for his family. He loves keeping everyone around him safe even if that means not getting much sleep. The memories still lie within his memories and soul.
