My Innocence

As a child I never thought
My innocence would be stolen from me.
Entertaining and unique
I was so gutsy.
Oh how I miss
The child in me.

June 12th, 2016
My innocence was stolen from me.
Painful and traumatic
I was diagnosed with ptsd.
Dazed and confused
This journey isn't going to be easy.

I am 17 and
My innocence was stolen from me.
Sometimes I wish I could drown at sea
And escape from this horrible reality.
I can't change the fact that
My innocence was stolen from me.
