My keeper

You torture me.

You devise a new way,
A new gambit,
To steal my heart.

But you never stay.
When you leave ,
I feel your so far away.
Then I'm lost without you.
Left in a state of delirium.
Lost and confused.

Waiting for you to return.
Not only to me,
But what is mine.

You hold my heart for ransom,
It is your willing hostage.
My gift to you.

Without you,
I have no use for it anyway.
So ill lay in wait,
For the day you return my most valued possession,
And give me a reason to use it.
