My Knocks In Life

By     Avatar

Trapped in English and French
Left me sitting out on the bench
Leaving my sheltered country home
To feel scared and so alone
Had to find my own way
When so very far away
Got help from a new friend
That made me whole deep within

Using my lessons was my plan
When I came home once again
Learned community service law
Where I gave back by helping all
Started groups and wrote a book
For those who were overlooked
Volunteered throughout my life
Crafts in schools was my delight

The years of slowing down had come
Has made life seem turn around
Painting walls and toy boxes of oceans
Rainbow on countryside are golden
Knitting, sewing and crocheting
For grand kids that are everything
