My Life

At the age of five her soul had been touched
By a young man's hand, the abuse was too much
She held the secret until the age of a teen
Her soul badly damaged, can only be seen
She met a young man she thought was the one
They had two children and life had just begun
At the age of 26, the abuse was too much
A grown woman left shattered with no loving touch
She met another, she was the twinkle of his eye
A baby boy was born, she thought this is the guy
Her soul again damaged, six years comes and goes
The abuse from the lies is beginning to show
Back to the first one, she attempts a new life
Three children she now has and soon again his wife
Her soul badly damaged since the time she was five
No time for it to heal, there's no way she will survive
Seven more years of abuse is on the way
She finds herself leaving by the end of the day
At the age of forty, life turns a direction
Her soul mate arrives, she will need her protection
Five years goes by on a roller coaster ride
She learned a valued lesson, her soul she cannot hide
Her soul will never heal from that time when she was five
Forty one years has gone by and this woman is still alive
