My Lifestyle

Everyday I go to a cruel place we all call school,
Surrounded by fake friends, I long for the weekend,
Wipe my tears in the car and fake a smile,
That’s my lifestyle.

As I tug on the uncomfortable,
I think about going away at an airport,
I have hundreds of tests tomorrow,
And now answers have to be borrowed.

Teachers just sit there and don’t even teach,
I might as well be tanning on the beach,
Reapply my makeup in the bathroom,
Go to the hallways and face my doom.

Walking and walking, all I see is fake, fake, fake,
It’s so annoying, I’m about to break,
Never stop smiling and laughing at school,
When I get home, I cry so much I could overflow a pool.

That’s the way I live,
Because society never forgives,
Fake another smile,
Because that’s my lifestyle.
