My Little Amish Mom

Nancy, my little Amish Mom.
You came to us, when we were very small.
Two boys, a little girl and a Daddy that had lost it all.
The farm life without a wife was not in Daddy's plans.
The tears he cried, the pain he felt, he just could not understand.

Nancy, my little Amish Mom.
You were so different but you gave it all you had.
You stood by us even when we put you down or made you feel so bad.
You saw us through our rebellious years, our laughter, and our tears.
Not once did you up give up on us but I'm sure you had your fears.
This is my way of saying "Thank you Nancy"
Mom would have been so proud.
To know we turned out pretty good, even if we are a little loud.
I know Mom watches from above, she smiles down on us each day.
You did a great job Nancy when Mom was called away.

Nancy, I have been so lucky to have two mothers to love.
One to guide me here on earth, one to shine from up above.
God works in many ways, at times it's hard to understand.
When God called our mother home, God had a plan.
Now that I am older with family of my own
You are Nana to my children...
But you will always be ...My Little Amish Mom at home.
Love Sandra .....Your chosen daughter.....
