My Mind

Gold and orange fall to the ground,
Sitting here no one is around.
Breathe deep hold it in.
Pick up the pen,
Heat scorch the skin
Release the air from within.
White rabbits dance above.
Happiness from a child's smile,
Gives you so much more.
Hands shake, in the mind sounds of war,
Blood pumps harder.
Window to the soul close,
As the barrel stumbles closer.
Child fades away
Twigs crack a distance away.
Nothing in the horizon, but darkness,
Knees glued to a ton of stones
Hands priced by roots.
Eyes bleed tears for you,
Small hands being felt
Soul begins to melt,
Dad are you going to be alright?
