~My Personal Hell~

By Frosty

I was doing so well
But now I can’t tell
My personal hell
An ear splitting bell

This silence inside
A raging tide
Nowhere to hide
Along for the ride

My mind it’s a cage
Containing the rage
Of a tormented mage
Cursing the page

Their hate it is burning
This page they are turning
Internal concerning
All this work yet no learning

Spinning in place
Yearning to race
Craving the chase
Wishing to erase

Themselves from existence
Yet they don’t stop persistence
Adamant insistence
A spiteful resistance

They will not back away
From all that they say
A promise to slay
The demons of day

The monsters of spite
Are said to give fright
Yet the real ones that slight
Live in the day, not the night
