My Prayer for You

Long ago, I knew a boy that so wanted to be a man.
In his hurry down the path there, he lost his "I can."
His dependence on himself, and his drive,
Were replaced with something vile.
Today, he has another chance to step back on the trail.
I pray that God will keep him straight, never to derail.
