My Right to Work

Slowly it leeches.
Quietly, painlessly at first.
After some time you feel drained, pale, unambitious.
The realization sets in.
This place, this environment.
Slowly it's taken something from you.
Draining your energy.
Leeching your soul.
Until finally it's taken you by whole.
Just another mindless drone working by the hour,
To keep what you don't have.
