My Shadow

This shadow follows me
In the morning I see him
In the afternoon I see him
At night, I become blind
It's like he twined my thoughts together
To make me feel al light as a feather
He comes from the dark
That is when he larks
He haunts me, I'm scared to move
But that only proves
That I am scared of the dark
When I sleep I think of a mark
Slowly moving up and down
To help me concentrate without a frown
He gives me all these thoughts
That I just do not want
Filling my head with nonsense
At night I alway feel so dense
I shouldn't listen to it
But I can't help but hear the truth
At this point I'm at my youth
I see him in my room at night
Always wishing to turn on the light
His big red eyed watch me at night
As I lay down and say "goodnight"
He over hears me and says "sleep tight"
