My Sister

As the day draws closer,
I think of her
I remember her smell,
Her smile, her laugh
Missing her everyday,
Seeing her daughter,
Stunning, to think she created this being
Exactly like her mother,
Remembering the times,
We sat by the water as the storm rolled in,
Watching the lighting strike and hearing the thunder roll
Taking pictures it was beautiful,
Just as she was,
All the way up to
That day,
She was sick tired of fighting,
For life,
She held on as long,
As she could
And then,
She said, Goodbye.
