My Special Place

I travel up a dirt road where the dust separates from the ground
and dissipates into the air. The weeds on the sides of he road
are unkempt. But I don't mind because I am going to the most
beautiful place in the world, "My grandfathers farm." It feeds
me emotionally with love and makes me feel safe. It nourishes
my body and makes me feel unbroken and complete.

My grandfathers farm and all of the wonderful smells of livestock,
plants feed and mud. And the sounds of chattering birds and animal
noises. My grandfathers farm; the only place where I could find
solace and run free like the antelope in the fields. Oh how I
miss my grandfather; his wisdom, peace, love and gentle ways
Grandfather, the time we spent together was much more precious
than gold. But God took you home because he needed you more.
