My Time in Neverland with Peter

Peter Pan took me to Neverland
we stayed there half a year
each day a new adventure
but some things weren't quite clear

I asked him what our purpose was
what we were there to do
he said, "Here we can just play,
my dear, each day something new"

But it got so tedious
living without real purpose
I said to him, "Peter, let's go back,
staying here will only hurt us"

But Peter Pan belongs in Neverland
so as I should've guessed
he told me to leave alone
sent me away, and wished the best

So here's a warning of Peter Pan and Neverland:
the more you fall in love with him
that love will make you grow
but Peter remains still dim

You'll want him to grow with you
but that's something Peter Pan can't do
