My town

I stared down at the ground
A puddle of tears forming a small empty
lifeless town

I wanted to be a clown
To cheer up the hopeless so sad lifeless
small crowd

I laughed out loud and cried so low
I just do not know how to make these
Small things go with a flow

I very much love this world, the warmth
Of the sun, the sea, and the wind
Still, then my heart falls broken

But “no,” I told myself, there still is
Some hope. I left my town long ago
I’m coming back to show my people
The real world

To open their mind and soul

I told my people my story and how I cared
I shared and shared and shared

Then time has come for me to say
Bye. Doors of heaven opened wide

BYE…
