My Tryst with Trigu

The other day when I entered my math class
I stood shocked and adjusted my glass
On the board in bold letters
TRIGONOMETRY was written which gave me the jitters
Sin, cos, tan and cot
Good Heavens! I don’t want to get caught!
Till then this is what I had thought
That if I made a sin I will fall from my cot
So, then I gasped and took a breath
With my teacher going into the depth
I understood that trigonometry was a sea
And what we were learning was just a pea
I then sat back and began to relax
Its not really tough, perhaps
Then, I understood the A, B and C
Of course with the teacher’s touch, you see
Sum after sum made it clear
That there was nothing to fear
So, I fell in love with trigonometry
Which forms even a part of physics and chemistry
