My Voice

I am silent.
I no longer believe
I have a voice in this world.
I am convinced that
I am losing my importance.
I never understand those who say that
I am loved.
I listen to the people that tell me
My hair is too thin
My body is too short
My face is not beautiful
I have ignored the people who tell me
I am one of a kind.
My flaws and imperfections tell me that
I am worth nothing.
I have been told lies that say
I have meaning
My life has meaning
I realize that
I am becoming more invisible each day.
I cannot say that
I have a voice.
