My Walk

I heard a voice and quickly stopped
Then looked, but no one’s there
Then as I slowly turned around
I saw him everywhere
First in a manger, then on a cross
Then on a mountain top
But when he slowed to walk with me
I prayed we’d never stop

He spoke of where we’d been before
Yes we not me alone
And as he told me what he’d seen
I wished I had a clone

The shame I felt then made me cry
I fell unto my knees
I bowed my head, and dried my eyes
Saying Lord forgive me please

I am he said The Son of God
You know “The Great I Am”
My hand has held the mighty rod
Yet Love‘s my precious Gem

My gift for you, at your request
Is peace, and hope and love
I bring to you God’s wondrous Prize
Forgiveness from above
