My Warrior

Gentle hands draw me near
Soften my heart impure
Troubled minds ease the ache
Fears plague the dark no more
Memories afar your arms displace
Safe and warm, I lie
Your heartbeat soothes, your breath consoles
Content hath found a home again
No lingering past befalls me now
With you, warrior, by my side
Battle we do my troubled mind
Repaving memories with ones anew
Your warm embrace doth light my soul
Rely on that I often do
Carry me forth, our backs to the past
Keep your hand entwined with mine
Time brings fondness I did not know
Protected, healed, my heart pours love
My warrior, my shattered self you saved
In my heart, forever a spot you'll hold
