My Weekend Withdrawal

Intoxicating drug I breathe you in,
Struck ill from loves attack, this open sore,
Infected from your love, falling victim,
Left high for days a feeling to adore,

As moons awake, in dreams we can romance,
Once strong now weakened knees feel so divine,
Two fused, the death of days love had no chance,
Now yearn and ache for lives to intertwine,

At loss to halt approaching weekend haze,
Less in my world your face, your touch, your sound,
Pure flames of white roar high staying ablaze,
Patiently wait, two souls forever bound,

Sleeping my heart is kept in tact not torn,
Awakened by your love each Monday morn.
