Mystic Fire

I like to hide behind the forest and the trees
so I can watch the wolf lingering
among the wild flowers,
they blossom with every stroke
of his gentle faithful Spirit.

I like to hide behind the forest and the trees
so I can see the romance beneath
the stillness of the hour,
where the mist engulfs the smoke
that invades our sacred space.

I like to hide behind the forest and the trees
so you can catch me fading in the night
or see me rising in the break of dawn,
where my light can touch your face
and cast a beautiful shadow.
