Natural Beauty

The chirp of the red bird greets the morning sky
A cool breeze blows and it whispers bye

The sun in the east and the moon in the west
Morning is coming and night goes to rest

Most people asleep and miss such a sight
As morning changes from dark to light

The moon disappears as the sun starts to rise
Colors of purple, pink and red in the skies

More sounds of nature are all I can hear
I see a rabbit, more birds and even a deer

I embrace this moment that some never see
God's natural beauty is all around me

This Poems Story

My nickname is Peanut, it was given to me by my parents. I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. I'm the youngest of four children. I married my high School sweetheart and we will celebrate our 40th wedding aniversary in October 2011. We have two children and one grandchild named Zoe. This poem came to me while on a hunting trip with my husband in South Carolina. This particular full moon morning was so beautiful and everything happenend just as I stated in the poem. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
