Nature's Hidden Sanctuary

A place where songbirds sing joyful melodies.
Behold the path beneath the canopy that follows
The calm yet winding river.
All around us in the forest
Plants flourish and animals thrive.
Men come to hunt the wild game for food,
And to cut trees down for warm fires.
As dusk falls, some of the forest settles,
While the rest is just awakening.
Let us go now, while we still have light
To find our ways home.
Tomorrow, this hidden sanctuary will seem
Completely different.
However, she will still be here... waiting.
