Never Ending Cycle

Stark mad and reeling again....
Once more I watch my resolve slip through my fingers...
But the perspective from this view....Destitute all the same...
How can I call this strength? How am I courageous?
Curse this poetic soul...curse these haunting verses...
May my ashes find a better place than my body ever had roaming this tired earth...
Is it all for naught?? Is this really the hand I've been dealt??
The road is long...and these feet, although blistering...carry me through....
But to what end?
To watch everything I love consumed by corruption and disease?
Carry not the burden of love, lest you feel the sting of fully loving....
Lest you feel the bite of another lonesome heart...
