My new home will be in a new country, Canada.
I pack hopes and dreams in my suitcase.
I feel like I win the race.
Memories and love of my native country will always remain.
I have to go because there will be much to gain.
My loved ones come to say good bye.
They try hard not to cry.
My eyes fill with tears.
I will see all of them after years.
This is the first time I am leaving my country behind.
Better future is waiting for me ahead, I remind.
I say good bye, I stayed strong.
No more crying, I move on.
In the blink of an eye.
I travel across the sky.
I lined up with all the immigrants, patiently.
All of my fears gone when they treat me so gently.
I enter my new life with dignity.
Filled with hopes, in the land of opportunity.
