Nightly Follies

Oh, the solace that follows the night!
The follies of others are veiled from sight,
The whisper of secrets that trails the moon
Is lost when the sun rises over the dune.
A lover is loving when darkness surrounds,
A killer inviting when morals aren't found,
And I am consumed in the somber abyss,
The slow burning embers of one final kiss.
Goodbye fearsome night,
Hello sunlit morn,
My sin washed away,
A new day reborn.
