Night’s Daughters

When a daughter of night suffers alone
No one can help her save a son of light
Lift her up on joyful wings
Liberate her from a dark abyss
But all sons of light, wasted on lust
Leave poor daughters of night to suffer alone
Liberating the dead from life is simple
The contrary quite impossible
Sons of light, cruel, bright, shining beams
Bring happiness till taken away
So in the shadows, daughters of night again
They cannot lose their imprisoned hearts
For hearts captured by a son of light
To twist and play and cast away ignored
And swear with Artemis' sacred oath
To cast away love and be loved no more
No longer partakers of this vicious cycle
Knowing they cannot and will not love
Nevermore the same
