No Longer

You come to me with hope of grace
You're fallen shame, upon your face
No chance of that, I'm sorry to tell
I once was sweet, like caramel
But now no longer am I this way
Our story now- cliché

Wounds, in time, can often heal
Is compassion found, when we kneel?
Only by God can your sin be forgotten
Or will it remain, like those from the garden?

Solemnly I will move on
Love for you is now withdrawn
So don't return now
This is my sacred vow
I shall not give again
Not even just to call you friend

You had your chance- more than one
Now it's clear, we're overdone
Different paths we now are on
This space, we must build upon

Goodbye for now
I take my bow
Goodbye forever
No longer we will be together
