No Longer Alone

An unwelcome shadow I've become
in those eye that once my gaze withheld.
A traveler in this road I stand,
with an imparted map of the road I must follow.
Looking intently to this compass full of words,
which point to the artist who will draw the missing flower
in this painting I behold in my hand.
So as to one day resting on a hill,
my soul will admire in contentment the fullness
of the beginning of a new journey,
with a new road in the company of three.
