I take my clothing off and give it to men so they get used to me.
I take my makeup off and give it to men so they won't be threatened.
I shed my confidence and give it to women;
so they will feel better about themselves.
I shed any kindness I have left to women;
so they will accept me because to them it is seen as an act.
I give my soul to all people;
so they are not offended by my essence.
I step out of my skin to make yours more comfortable.
I rip my tongue out and hand it to you so my words don't hurt you.
I cut my ears off and hand them to you;
so your ego isn't damaged for how I hear you.
I pop my eyballs out and give them to you;
so you won't be tortured by how I see this world.
I've taken so much away from myself to please the people.
I am now mangled parts of an empty body.
No more will I shed myself to please the people.
No more hide away in corner just to satisfy the world.
No more will I harm myself just to see you smile.
