No more of the past

I’m past realization
I’m past forgiving you
No matter what happens
You betrayed me like everyone else do
You became acquainted with my familiarity
And used my loyalty
As my weakness out of confusion
Your words about love are nothing but a delusion

You intrude
On my heart
You pull the strings of the far past
I can never seem to forget it
It's tainted but yet framed in glass

You lived in the past
And I thought in the present
We could never move forward
Without change and repentment

A part of me wishes to believe
All the stories that I am told
But I have to learn to let go
Including the strong arms of your hold

I’m not ready to reject the past
But I don’t want to move forward with a lie
Even if it means letting go of my memory
Of a past, I cannot deny.
