No more pain

As the blood drips from my arms,
I feel the warmth I have never felt before.
Then in an instant, the blood turns cold again.
I was only a loner who just wanted friends.

The blood has changed my way of thinking,
I no longer have to pretend I am sinking.
I don't hear the ripping of my skin against me,
I am no longer in pain; I am free like the sea.

I see people doing the same thing and I want to help,
Though I cannot see they have been hit by that belt.
Please remember this is serious and it may be wrong,
I would know, but that part of me is now dead and gone.
