No Place Like Home

Gotta tornado tearing through my mind, todo Kansas is long gone
Things are gettin' kinda dangerous, got no cell to call home
Dropped in a world that's way different than it was before...
Got too much goin' on, clarity flew out the door...
I'm trying to gain some understanding, giving it all I've got...
My brain just hit autopilot, functioning like some robot.
This once was a day dream, but then I take a major slip...
Tired of running from his blades I just want to snap on out of here
Lend a hand, send me some help, I'm not ready to face this fear.
Crouching down in this corner, cover my eyes I sit and wait...
Got me shivering shaking uncontrollably not up for discussion...
Nor a debate.
Cut me some slack from the chaos, I'm not the rock I used to be...
Breaking and crumbling on the inside, that's the part you WON'T see!
I'm tired of this trip, this vacation's gotta end.
Time to find the pause button, it's parts of me I need to mend.
just a temporary...fix that'll get me through.
Buying me precious time to figure out what to do.
I know it's a long shot, but it's a chance I got to take...
Got to beat the beast for my soul to finally wake.
