No Scare for Crow

Scarecrow you are a new man
Talk to me if ever you can
Where did you get the hair so yellow?
You're a rather good looking fellow
With eyes like blue buttons
And a tummy for gluttons
Your arms and legs are stiff
Your nose too short to sniff
There seems to be a nest in your pocket
I did not think to lock it, lock it
The birds you are supposed to scare
But you must not think that fair
How could you turn that joy away
What on earth could you possibly say?
The man that was you before you became you
Also had compassion and a heart that was true
