No Stranger to Me

No Stranger to Me:

And so it is with trepidation
that we pass through each
others lives with barely a
a glance at one another in
fear we may register the
humanness of our brothers
and sisters and believing
that it is not for our eyes
--to see.

Yet I know you stranger
I can feel it on some
mystic plane that is not
tethered to this earth by
the mundane nuances of
everyday speak-I felt the
electricity when we touched
in the obligatory shake of
--our hands.

I saw the shift in your eyes
as you registered in your
subconscious that this was
not a meeting of chance
and I saw life there where
there was nothing before.
My breath catches as your
lips part to speak but your
--words falter.
