I see the light through the darkest days,
For I know that it too shall pass away,
I free my hair and let it flow in the wind,
For who knows when that shall halt,
I remember those old days, reminisce them,
Those checker blocks game with your friends,
Those hot dosas our mothers used to make,
Where did that innocence run away?
Oh! The Bullock cats running down the muddy roads,
Playing Gilli danda with your brother,
Drenching 'selves for hours in rains,
Those were the good old days,
Nothing can bring back those memories,
But my heart still aches for that golden age,
Wish I could go somewhere, far away,
Where my Utopia shall await me.
