Not Afraid of the Man

his hands are powerful
with words he'll slay with thought
yell with words will taunt your mind
his hands are big as the mouth of a hurtful tongue
eyes will cut you
just a stare will harden your heart
he'll get you if you let him
under you skin
creeping through the night
tip-toe creek and crack
hide and seek
come and find me
hidden in your thoughts
not to fear the history I given you
not to fear the man who haunted you
not to fear my history of my eyes
my past is not imagine the future
my past does not control your imagination
against of the odds
I'm the only one who will not forget
the moments I put in your dreams
the moments would make you laugh
minutes you cry, minute you hate
I do not fear the man
but only the lie he's telling our men
