Not Alone

She sits and stares towards the sun,
Where times before she often runs,
To try and find her heart's fulfillment...
She feels so alone.
She knows nothing of the faith
That holds the soul and gives them grace;
And though He watches night and day,
She thinks she is alone.
The darkness calls her, wants her, pulls her-
She wants more that will complete her.
The temptation might be stronger.
She is not alone.
He whispers in her ear that night,
When Satan tries with all his might
To sell her all his lies. And yet.
She never was alone.
The love that held her straight from birth,
That none could break or steal or hurt,
Holds her now, assured and strong.
She knows she's not alone.
