Not Anymore

I was walking down the street,
A yellow blob came up:
"Madam, do you need any help?"
"No" said I
Tap. Tap. Tap.

I was walking down the street,
A blue blob came up:
"Aunty, can I walk you out?"
"No" said I
Tap. Tap. Tap.

I was walking down the street,
And tumbled over a -
Tap. Ta-
tumbled over a streak of pink and green:
"Are you blind?"
"Yes" said I
"Can't you see the children playing?"
"No" said I

I was walking down the street before,
but Not Anymore.
I strolled out of the park with a smile,
shrill cry of the child made
air defile.
